Arosa, due to its beautiful arena protected by high mountains, is well-known for its sunny weather and guaranteed good snow conditions. Thanks to its pure mountain air, Arosa was already discovered in the 1920’s by people from all over Europe who came to convalesce in its renowned sanatoriums.  Nowadays, it is an ideal skiing and hiking resort for all ages. Arosa is loved by everyone. A real gem!

With its new connection to the Lenzerheide valley, you can experience great skiing and snowboarding conditions on 225 km of slopes. For beginners, there is a special training slope with a 60m long conveyor belt as well as the "Prätschli"-towbar lift with an easy slope, both free of charge. The more daring skiers find unlimited fun and good training opportunities at the Free Ride and Fun Park.

Nearly 40 km of well-prepared cross country ski trails (classic and skating) are waiting for cross country skiers.  For those who prefer the quiet and slow way we recommend snowshoeing.

Arosa is also well-known for its more than 60 km long superbly prepared walks and winter hiking trails which lead through the lively snow sports area to all mountain huts or through snow-covered forests. Families, walkers and skiers usually meet up at these huts for lunch or just to enjoy a drink together in the sun.

A special highlight for children is the squirrel trail, a 1 ½ km long forest path where the cute little animals can be fed and observed. Since squirrels do not hibernate, they are active both in summer and in winter and enjoy visitors.

Fun is also guaranteed on a sledge run. There are many runs to choose from, easy to fast. One of them even runs alongside the “Kulm” gondola cable way. On Thursday night there is night sledging as well.

On the open-air ice rink you can enjoy ice skating or ice hockey or a game of curling. Or let yourself be transported –warmly packed in – by the coachman and his horses and enjoy the magnificent view into the surrounding mountains.
